More reasons I heart Austin

Even though parking nearby kinda sucked, Blues on the Green, a 20-year event by KGSR radio (which I grew up calling k-geezer, and which I now quite enjoy), was still Austin-awesome. Zilker park, Shiner beer, the evening cooldown, and of course a swim in Barton Springs afterward.

Now mind you, this was only my second dip in the springs. Ever. And it was after 9pm, when the cheapies and crazies join forces for free swim. But when the howling started, I dunno. Something inside me rejoiced to live here and be a part of this.

Did I mention the full-size teepee I found while on a neighborhood walk? Yep, set up in someone’s back yard, complete with that little smoke flap and dodging the wires strung above it.

¡Viva Austin!
